Self Care Develops ‘The Self' ~ The Real Magic When Meditating On A Full Moon...

Self Care On a Full Moon ~ Why do it? What will it bring to your personal practice?


The common goals of the collective around the time of a Full Moon (approx 3 days either side) is always centred around...


Reflection, Release, Recharge & Reset


Taking some time to reflect on the previous two weeks ~ since the intentions of the New Moon ~ will help you to identify a few key things to enable you to actively make a plan to move away from that which no longer serves you... 


New moons are for setting intentions... 'Goals' if you like, and Full Moons are for reflection... More often than not the things we suppress during the month come up and bite us in the bum around a full moon. So stick with it and more balance will be achieved... I promise you!


My Beginners Tip...

Keeping a journal is paramount at the beginning, at least. So keep one by your bed. This is a valuable tool to help you record what needs to change - what makes you feel uncomfortable - but also to remind you of what brings you joy etc - and as the veil starts to lift, your intuition will become clearer and that which needs to change will become more obvious. But sometimes we do need a little help with the tougher stuff that goes beyond the classical ‘talking therapy’ formula so ask for help when needed.


So what actually happens?

The energy of the Full Moon provides us with the necessary support to assist the body's ability to release and regenerate. This isn't a conscious activation, it’s energetic. And working with this energy source can illuminate your life in a magical way. You don't need to dance around naked for this ;) but if you want to - don't hold back.


If you are detoxing on an emotional level, or feel like you are a bit overwhelmed during this time, be kind to yourself, be careful, take guidance, slow down and make sure you support all systems of your body. Emotional detoxification happens on a cellular level (cellular upgrades) and it can also cause our subconscious to put up 'walls' of resistance - its a safety mechanism really, one of survival. This is why it is good to do your prep work throughout the month so as not to be blindsided with the theme of each Full Moon, then you can work with this energy, not against it.

Is this right for me?

If you are reading this, your soul is directing you to dig a little deeper, you may be on the cusp of great change - whether you feel it or not… Maybe you have realised you need more in life than what you are currently receiving. Self Care and developing a meditation practice, whether it's aligned with planetary phases or not, is how you become more connected with yourself and the world around you, ultimately helping you to make better choices that serve you and the planet... Soon a more balanced version of yourself will emerge - just think what you could achieve then.


I use a specific formula of mind dynamics and meditation to aling myself with the flow of life, to self heal and to self regulate. I use it to create choral symphonies that connect you with the sublime in nature and yourself… This is a discipline that requires focus and a personal commitment, shifting brain wave states at will is a skill- I started when I was 3! Finding the right teacher for you will be key, I am lucky to have a mother who specialises in this type of self development work, the fountain of all knowledge! Think of meditation like a skill, like learning an instrument - you wont be Mozart over night. This is a lifestyle change not a hobby!


I use the phases of the moon and certain planetary frequencies not just because of the specific energy you can work with, but also to understand the vibe of the collective a bit better, (office dynamics for example!). Knowing when to be present and when to protect your energy is a vital aspect to protect you from being drained by the chaotic world around us. A Full Moon is also a good reminder of where your head should be, and understanding your emotional self better. Developing your emotional intelligence will bring you more positive experiences on both professional and personal levels.


Adopt the understanding that “Food is Medicine” 

For any form of emotional development to be successful, the physical body has to be strong. If you are struggling to nurture and nourish your physical body, then this should be your initial focus. A strong vessel will collect the most light… And our job in this Age of Aquarius, is to share that Light. We all have unique gifts to develop and share - EACH ONE OF US - but to find those gifts you need to dig deep, you need to be physically strong -  so start connecting now… Make yourself some relaxing tea, burn your incense, grab your essential oil inhaler, Maybe press play on my latest music and enjoy- It's going to be one hell of a ride...
